A Wish Granted

The Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation (TVMF) and Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) are honored to have been a part of an incredibly special day for Gabby, a 13-year-old from the Rio Grande Valley whose wish was granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

At only 13, Gabby got to experience life as an Aggie veterinary student and pursue her ultimate passion of caring for animals. Gabby had a full day of hands-on veterinary practice and was exposed to state-of-the-art veterinary equipment and animals of all sizes!

Gabby was gifted a Littman stethoscope from TVMF as well as a medical clipboard and honorary membership from TVMA. Both organizations provide support and gifts to veterinary students throughout the year, and Gabby was certainly no exception.

“We are so humbled to have played a small role in her special day alongside Texas A&M,” said Troy Alexander, TVMF Chief Executive Officer and TVMA Executive Director. “The Texas veterinary community is proud to welcome Gabby into the greatest profession in the world.”

Her day as a veterinary student was hosted by the Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in coordination with Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana.
