Boogie was a Rat Terrier, born on October 19, 2004. In late November of 2004, on a trip to a flea market, I spotted him and asked the man who was selling him if I could hold him. It was love at first sight. I asked the man how much he wanted because I was never letting him go.
Boogie became my most beloved companion, through many hardships, heartbreaks, and loss. We grew up together…from age 19 to 35 I had a feisty, silly, affectionate best friend who brought so much joy and laughter to my life. He enjoyed french fries, zoomies, ear scratches, sun bathing, burrowing under blankets, lounging in bed, and stretching his body in the most unusual ways!
When I met Doug, we bonded over both having Rat Terriers and upon meeting, Boogie and Doug became fast friends. Boogie’s approval was essential! From my first apartment, first home, and marriage, Boogie was there for it all.
I will forever miss my baby, my heart aches for the empty spot next to me. Rest easy now, my sweet Boogie.
