Mercy was such a loving companion. She was always excited when visitors came by. She greeted all with a very high-pitched, ear-piercing bark! She loved to “talk” and to play tug-of-war. When she played tug-of-war, she would have such a fierce-sounding growl, no dog would play with her. They would just simply drop the toy and surrender! Mercy was 9 years old when she passed. I miss her dearly, and am making a “Mercy Quilt” in her remembrance. The top is made from all the bandanas she received each time she was groomed. I included some unbleached muslin in the piecing so that I could write things I wanted to remember about Mercy.
