We adopted Mindy when she was 7 years old. She passed away at 12 1/2. In the short time that we had her in our lives, she added joy, laughter, love, and amazement to our lives. We have always had dogs, but Mindy was one of the most human-like dogs we’ve had the privilege to know. She knew countless words, loved to leap into a pool, comforted the sick and old, and defended us and her companion, Oscar. We will never forget her.
