In Memory Of: Sassy

Sassy came to us from a rescue facility, the day after Christmas, 2006. She was loving, crate trained, leash trained and housebroken. She enjoyed walks, playing with toys and just sitting in your lap. Recently, she was diagnosed with cutaneous lymphoma. Having 2 veterinarians in the family, we chose to treat her with a chemo pill to ease the symptoms. Her prognosis was about 6-9 months if treated. She responded adversely with seizures and confusion, disoriented and failing vision and hearing. Therefore, I chose to have her euthanized. She was approximately 11-12 years of age. We will miss her so much, but encourage others to consider rescue animals.
