In Memory Of: Whiskey

I adopted Whiskey from the pound in 2020. He was about a year old then—skinny, scrappy, and full of spirit. It didn’t take long for him to settle into life at home; he adapted quickly and made it clear he was here to stay. Though he had his mischievous moments, Whiskey was mostly a laid-back, incredibly friendly dog with a heart of gold.

He had a wild streak—chasing bunnies and leaping fences like it was his personal sport. More than once, he gave me a scare with his Houdini-like escapes. But he also had a softer side: he loved being photographed, almost like he knew he was the star of the show.

I don’t have children, so Whiskey was my fur son in every sense. We shared meals often—pizza was one of his favorites—and he brought warmth and companionship into every corner of my life.

Sadly, Whiskey passed away on August 15, 2025, at just 5½ years old. His absence is deeply felt, and the house just isn’t the same without him. He was more than a pet—he was family, and he is missed e
