Buck-A-Year
The Buck-A-Year Program is an annual gift campaign that every veterinarian can afford. Contributions made to the Buck-A-Year Program fund grants to Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Science’s Veterinary Medical Scientist Research Training Program. TAMU’s research program ensures that veterinary students will continue to be introduced to research and the benefits research has on the profession and the practice of veterinary medicine.
The guidelines for the Buck-A-Year Program are simple: Take the number of years since you received your DVM and multiply it by five to be a Bronze sponsor. Multiply it by 10 to be a Silver sponsor, by 20 to be a Gold sponsor, or by 30 to be a Platinum sponsor. Because the amount you contribute gradually increases over time, this is the perfect program to begin early in your career.
